Alice Eltvedt
Europe (The Netherlands / United Kingdom)
Having lived in France, the Netherlands, the US, and the UK, Alice brings a global perspective on education and a passion for scientific research to Preface. In particular, moving to the United States at the age of 9 gave her first-hand knowledge of the challenges inherent in entering the American educational system as a child, while simultaneously having to navigate a new language and culture.
After working for a Princeton University start-up, Alice decided to pursue a postgraduate education. She is currently a PhD candidate in Physics and a Member of the Centre for Extragalactic Astronomy at Durham University where she is involved with community outreach and volunteering programs for young children to promote the STEM fields.
A WW-P South alumna, Alice graduated with an A.B. in Astrophysics from Princeton University, while simultaneously obtaining a certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Fluent in German, Dutch, and English (alongside a working proficiency in French), she received her M.S. in Physics from Durham University.
