FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA. – In a groundbreaking partnership forged earlier this month, Preface and the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia jointly announced the launch of the Preface Early Childhood Literacy Fund: a first-of-its-kind fund designed to ensure access to Preface’s high-impact early childhood literacy models for future generations of students across the Peach State – and America.
The fund, which will be managed by The Capital Group and mutually stewarded by Preface’s senior leadership team and Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia, is further launching with a $10,000 matching challenge grant, funded by a generous anonymous donor.
With decades of experience safeguarding and growing philanthropic funds for nonprofits, donors, and families, the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia is consistently ranked as one of the leading charitable advisors in Metro Atlanta. Guided by their mission to “Connect People Who Care with Causes that Matter,” the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia has been a leader in COVID-19 innovation and generosity, granting more than $100 million since their founding to vetted organizations.
“At the Community Foundation, we know that early education is critical to the development of our next generation. We have been working with JT and their team since the founding of Preface and look forward to helping them with this next step in their development as a nonprofit!” said Randy Redner, CEO & President of the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia.
Jonathan “JT” Wu, Preface’s Founder & Executive Director, echoed Redner’s sentiments, adding “It’s an incredible privilege to have the support of the proven leaders at the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia, as all of us at Preface look to an even brighter future supercharging early childhood literacy for the next generation. It’s especially meaningful to be continually embraced by both public and private sector partners on the ground here in our home of Gwinnett County, and we’re excited to come alongside Randy [Redner] and his amazing team at the Community Foundation to ensure that every child, no matter where they live or what language they speak, has access to the educational supports they need to achieve their own American Dream.”
“Ensuring that Preface can continue to offer our award-winning, high-impact, no-cost literacy models to every teacher and child is at the heart of all that we do,” Wu continued. “Thanks to our generous supporters and to this new partnership with the Community Foundation, we’ll be able to establish a legacy of literacy right here in Georgia that will spread across our community, and across the country – and endure for years to come.”
The Preface Early Childhood Literacy Fund is doubling donation impact and accepting matching challenge gifts up to $10,000 through December 31st!
